The idea of creating this organization started in early 2016 when one of my Turkish academic colleagues asked me if I could suggest a so-called "Think Tank" organization to enhance her career. After considering the fact that I had over 1,000 contacts worldwide in various fields who are often seeking to use their skills outside pure academia, I discussed the concept of a freelance association with many of my colleagues. Since the response was overwhelmingly positive, the Global Research Society has become a reality.
